Here is an original display panel made by a year 7 class. They used different shapes to create these clever robots and monsters. 
A great way to break your lesson is to do this activity with the kids, you could either do it as a lesson or send is as work to do at home. If you did it as an activity you could previously cut up lots of different shapes from different coloured card and let them choose. It will make a great bulletin board ideas
and brighten up your classroom.
