A beautiful bulletin board idea on the book the very hungry caterpillar made by reception.
Everybody loves this book, and its a great book to use as a teaching resource for your lesson as it gives lots of different options for class activities and work. This display panel was made with children in reception after reading the story.
The children painted all the fruit the caterpillar ate, this is a great teaching resource to use for counting with small children. And children love painting so they will love creating this colourful bulletin board idea. Add the words of the story to the display panel so everyone can read the story.
This was a display made by Carmen and Danielle in reception.
Create a small role area for the children to play in out of a display panel.
Using different teaching resources you can create different areas in the classroom for the children to interactive and play in. Here is an example of a small display panel area turned into a role play. Using a simple background and adding a bit of card to make it look like an Italian restaurant, the children can play with plastic food and toy money imagining they are in an Italian restaurant. They can take orders and count money with each other.
The teaching resources used for this display panel are printed from sparkle box, where you will be able to find lots of other ideas.
This display panel was made by year 2 teacher Caroline.
A funny and cute numeracy display panel to make with children from reception.
To make numbers more interesting for the children and to brighten up your classroom with a winter display panel make these number snowmen with the children, they’ll love it! You will need colourful card, buttons and cotton wool to create the snow effect.
Make the snowmen with the children and then add them to the display panel with the visual of the numbers one to five. Then the children can count the snowmen during lessons.
A brilliant reception display panel made by Gillian and Kate.
